| Reverse description | The large numeral 1 dominates the central field, flanked symmetrically on either side by a drooping wheat or grain stalk rendered in bold relief, their stalks curving gracefully outward toward the inner border. The Devanagari inscription रुपया appears as the upper legend arching above the numeral, while the Latin denomination RUPEE is inscribed below the numeral, and the date appears in the lower exergual area. A decorative square-link inner border encircles the entire design. The mint mark, where present, appears at the bottom of the field below the date. |
