Reverse description Printed in teal and purple tones, the reverse is dominated by a central vignette of the 'Sagar Samrat' offshore oil drilling rig set upon open waters, flanked on the left by a large intaglio vignette of a One Rupee coin dated 1991 within a wreath of wheat ears. A vertical panel at left carries the denomination in multiple Indian regional scripts, while the watermark window appears as a plain circular area at upper right. The legend 'GOVERNMENT OF INDIA' runs across the top with 'ONE RUPEE' and its Hindi equivalent at lower right.
