Obverse description At center, a relief depiction of the onion domes of St. Basil's Cathedral (Intercession Cathedral on the Moat) on Red Square, flanked by the Spassky Tower of the Moscow Kremlin. Above and to the left, the double-headed eagle with lowered wings serves as the state emblem. The mint mark appears in the lower right of the field, below the cathedral. At the bottom center, the denomination and date are inscribed in three lines: '1 РУБЛЬ 1992'. Semicircular legends flank the rim, reading 'БАНК' to the left and 'России' to the right.
