Comments

Transnistria's commemorative output is genuinely unusual among unrecognized states — the Transnistrian Republican Bank has issued collectible notes with more consistency and variety than most internationally recognized central banks. This 1 Rouble marks the 75th anniversary of the Soviet victory in the Second World War, a date the territory observes with particular intensity given its political alignment and the demographic weight of veterans' families in the region's collective memory.

Technically legal tender within Transnistria, though the republic itself is recognized by no UN member state. The note circulates in a currency accepted only within roughly 4,000 square kilometers along the left bank of the Dniester.
