| Obverse description | The central field bears the double-headed eagle emblem of the Bank of Russia, depicted with wings lowered, serving as the state arms of the Russian Federation. The eagle is encircled by a beaded border, outside of which a peripheral legend reads «ОДИН РУБЛЬ» (ONE ROUBLE) at the top and, at the bottom, the fineness designation «Ag 925», the year of issue «2007 г.», the fine metal content, and the Moscow Mint monogram «ММД». The inscription «БАНК РОССИИ» (BANK OF RUSSIA) appears in a semicircular arrangement beneath the eagle within the inner circle. |

| Additional information |
Issued as part of Russia's long-running commemorative series honoring the branches of the armed forces, this rouble marks the Kosmicheskie voyska — the Space Forces — reconstituted as a separate branch in 2001 after being absorbed into the Strategic Rocket Forces during the post-Soviet drawdown of the 1990s. The re-establishment was largely driven by the perceived need to consolidate Russia's military satellite and early-warning infrastructure under dedicated command following coordination failures exposed during that decade.
Mintage on these armed forces roubles was fixed at 10,000 pieces across the series, struck at the Moscow Mint (MMD).
