| Obverse description | At centre, the double-headed eagle emblem of the Bank of Russia, wings lowered, rendered in relief within a beaded inner circle. The curved legend БАНК РОССИИ arcs below the eagle within the circle. Along the upper rim, the denomination legend ОДИН РУБЛЬ is inscribed; the date 2003 appears at the lower rim. To the left of the emblem, the metal designation and fineness mark Ag 900 are shown; to the right, the fine metal content 15.55 and the Saint Petersburg Mint monogram СПМД. |
