| Obverse description | The obverse features a bimetallic-style design with a contrasting dark outer ring and a raised gilt-toned central disc. At the centre, a stylised sun and crescent moon are depicted in conjunction, their facial features rendered in an ornamental folk-art style. Surrounding the central motif, a broad inner ring displays all twelve zodiac symbols interspersed with star ornaments. The Taurus glyph and the inscriptions TAURUS and ЦЯЛЕЦ appear at the base of the inner ring. The Belarusian state emblem is positioned at the top of the outer ring, flanked by the Cyrillic legend РЭСПУБЛІКА БЕЛАРУСЬ reading clockwise on the left and БЕЛАРУСЬ on the right, with the date 2009 at lower left and the denomination 1 РУБЕЛЬ at the base. |
