Part of Belarus's long-running folklore series, this rouble commemorates the East Slavic folk tale of Pokatigoroshek — a hero born from a pea who avenges the abduction of his siblings by a dragon. The National Bank of Belarus issued dozens of copper-nickel collector pieces in this format through the 2000s and 2010s, targeting the domestic commemorative market rather than circulation.
