Additional information

Belarus issued a long-running series of collector roubles celebrating traditional crafts and folk arts, of which pottery was one installment. These copper-nickel pieces were produced for the collector market rather than circulation, part of a broader national cultural program that the National Bank ran aggressively through the 2000s and into the 2010s as a low-cost prestige exercise during a period of severe rouble inflation that made commemorative issues in base metal economically trivial to produce.
