Reverse description The reverse depicts a male markhor (Capra falconeri) standing in full profile to the left upon a rocky outcrop, rendered with fine naturalistic detail showing the animal's long shaggy coat and distinctive spiralling corkscrew horns rising prominently above its head. A stylised mountainous landscape is engraved in low relief to the lower left of the field, evoking the animal's Central Asian highland habitat. The mirror-polished proof field provides a stark contrast to the frosted relief of the central device. The Cyrillic legend ВИНТОРОГИЙ КОЗЁЛ (MARKHOR) is distributed around the upper periphery of the coin, reading from lower left to upper right.
