The Gray Crow — Corvus cornix — is native across much of Eastern Europe and was long lumped taxonomically with the Carrion Crow until the two were formally split into separate species in 2002. Belarus issues collector roubles in copper-nickel on a recurring wildlife schedule, typically tied to fauna of the Białowieża region and adjacent ecosystems. This piece belongs to that ongoing program.
