| Obverse description | Dark green print on light green underprint. Central vignette shows the denomination «ОДИНЪ РУБЛЬ» (One Rouble) within a guilloche border flanked by the numeral «1» in oval cartouches, with the date «1919» inscribed below on both sides. The heading in Cyrillic reads «ДЕНЕЖНЫЙ ЗНАКЪ ПОЛЕВОГО КАЗНАЧЕЙСТВА СЪВЕРОЗАПАДНАГО ФРОНТА»; below the central panel appear two signature lines — that of the Controller (Lianozov) at lower left and the Commander-in-Chief General Yudenich at lower right. |

| Reverse description | Plain light-toned paper bearing a large central vignette of the Imperial Russian double-headed eagle with spread wings, the shield on its breast containing an equestrian figure of St. George slaying the dragon — widely associated with the reverse imagery used on Northwest Front notes. Columns of Cyrillic text appear to the left and right of the eagle, stating the note's obligation for acceptance in all official and private payments and its exchangeability for State Credit Notes according to Petrograd State Bank schedules. No Peter the Great monument is present on the reverse. |
