Additional information

Chyrvony Bor — "Red Forest" in Belarusian — is one of the most significant archaeological sites in the country, a burial ground complex near Rogachev yielding artifacts spanning the Neolithic through the early medieval period. This 2006 issue belongs to Belarus's long-running series commemorating ancient settlements and historical sites across the republic, a program the National Bank used aggressively through the 2000s to generate collector revenue while documenting national heritage.

KM#146 is copper-nickel, placing it among the circulation-quality commemoratives rather than the silver proof issues the same program produced in parallel.
