Obverse description At centre, the double-headed eagle emblem of the Bank of Russia displayed with wings spread, rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field. The denomination ОДИН РУБЛЬ (One Rouble) arcs along the upper periphery in large Cyrillic letters, while БАНК РОССИИ (Bank of Russia) appears in the lower central field below the eagle. The date 1999г. is inscribed at the bottom, flanked by the silver fineness mark Ag 900 to the left and the weight indicator 15,55 to the right, with the Saint Petersburg Mint mark (СПМД) nearby. A fine inner beaded border frames the design.
