Obverse description At centre, the double-headed eagle emblem of the Bank of Russia as designed by I. Bilibin occupies the field, with a beaded circle enclosing a semicircular legend БАНК РОССИИ (Bank of Russia) below the device. The upper rim bears the denomination legend ОДИН РУБЛЬ (One Rouble), while the date 2000 appears at the lower rim. To the left of the eagle, the metal purity designation Ag 900 is inscribed, and to the right the fine metal content 15.55 and the Saint Petersburg Mint privy mark СПМД.
