| Obverse description | The obverse features the national emblem of the Republic of Belarus — a stylized state coat of arms depicting a clover-shaped outline — centered within a decorative geometric motif rendered in a traditional Belarusian folk embroidery (vyshyvanka) pattern. A WiFi or signal-wave symbol is incorporated into the central ornamental design, referencing modern digital themes. The circular legend 'РЭСПУБЛІКА БЕЛАРУСЬ' arcs around the upper field, while the denomination '1 РУБЕЛЬ' and the date '2022' appear in the lower portion of the field. |

Belarus overhauled its entire currency system in 2016, redenominating at a rate of 10,000 old roubles to one new rouble following years of inflation that had rendered small-denomination coins practically pointless. Belarusbank, the state savings institution commemorated here, traces its origins to the Soviet-era savings infrastructure and remains the largest retail bank in the country by deposit volume — still majority state-owned as of this issue.
