Obverse description Central device depicts the Russian state emblem, a double-headed eagle with wings displayed, rendered in finely frosted relief against a mirror-polished field. The legend ОДИН РУБЛЬ (One Rouble) arcs along the upper periphery in Cyrillic, while БАНК РОССИИ (Bank of Russia) curves along the lower portion, separated from the central device by a beaded inner circle.
