| Obverse description | Central raised circle encloses the denomination expressed in both Arabic numeral (١) above the Arabic word ريال and the Western numeral 1 above the Latin legend RIYAL. The Arabic circular legend حُكُومَة عَجمَان وَتوابعهَا arcs across the upper field outside the central circle, while the Latin legend GOVERNMENT OF AJMAN & ITS DEP. runs along the lower periphery. Two five-pointed stars flank the Arabic legend as decorative stops, and a beaded border frames the entire design. |
