Obverse description The obverse presents an elaborate calligraphic composition in the traditional Yemeni style, entirely in Arabic script, arranged within a circular central field bordered by a raised ring. The upper portion of the inner circle contains the Hijri date 1367 accompanied by the invocation referencing God's victory, while the lower field bears the royal titulature of Imam Ahmad ibn Yahya Hamid ad-Din, rendered in bold, interlocking naskh script. A decorative crossed-swords motif appears at the base of the central field. The legend reads in full: God Victory 1367, Ahmad Hamid ad-Din, Commander of the Faithful, Nasir ad-Din, God Lord of the Worlds. The entire design is framed by a reeded border.
