Obverse description Central solar disc rendered with finely engraved vertical reed lines filling the circular field, surrounded by radiating sunbeams of alternating lengths extending to the coin's rim. The denomination character 厘 (Rin) is prominently inscribed in the left field in bold Chinese-style calligraphy, with the numeral 一 (one) above it. The overall design presents an archaic, stylized Japanese Rising Sun motif characteristic of early Meiji-era pattern coinage.
