| Obverse description | Crowned and armored half-length effigy of Gustav II Adolf facing left, depicted wearing elaborately decorated plate armor with ornamental pauldrons and a scepter held in the left hand. The king wears an open royal crown. The portrait is rendered in high relief in a detailed Baroque style. A circular beaded inner border separates the effigy from the surrounding Latin legend, which reads GVSTAVUS ADOLP(H) DG REX SVECORVM, punctuated by rosette stops. |
