Obverse description Draped and armored bust of King Frederick I facing right, wearing ornate plate armor with decorative shoulder ribbons and a brooch-fastened mantle; the king's long, flowing curled wig is rendered in fine detail. The effigy divides the encircling Latin legend along the coin's rim. The portrait reflects the baroque artistic conventions of the Swedish royal court of the early eighteenth century.
