| Reverse description | The Swedish national coat of arms — a horizontally lined shield bearing three open crowns arranged two over one — occupies the central field, surmounted by a royal crown. The shield is encircled by an elaborate chain of the Order of the Seraphim, composed of alternating cross and skull motifs, tied at the base with a small royal crown. The denomination mark I • R • (1 Riksdaler) flanks the chain at lower left and lower right respectively, with the mintmaster's initials O • L • and the date 1812 (or 1814) inscribed below. The circumferential motto legend reads clockwise around the upper portion of the reverse. |
