The notes issued during this time period was temporary notes, sinde the communication with Denmark was cut of, during the Napoleonic wars and the English blockade. Norway used the same currency as Denmark, since they were in a union (Denmark-Norway), the blockade ment Norway had to issue its own banknotes. |
