| Additional information |
Jabrin Castle, completed around 1675 under Imam Bil'arab bin Sultan Al Ya'arubi, served as both a fortified residence and a center of Islamic learning before falling into disuse and gradual ruin following the collapse of the Ya'arubi dynasty in the mid-eighteenth century. Serious restoration work only began in the 1980s under the Ministry of National Heritage and Culture. This coin was issued as part of Oman's ongoing commemorative program documenting the country's architectural patrimony ahead of the castle's inscription on various heritage registers.
