Above the ship, within an inner circle, the Arabic word سُلطانة (Sultanah) appears as the vessel's name. The surrounding legend in Arabic along the upper arc reads العيد الوطني السادس والعشرون ١٩٩٦م, and along the lower arc in Latin script reads TWENTY SIXTH NATIONAL DAY ANNIVERSARY 1996, with SULTANAH inscribed at the base.
