| Obverse description | Central field bears the large Arabic numeral '١' (1) in relief, flanked on either side by a stylized olive and oak wreath opening at the base. The circular Persian legend 'محمدرضا شاه پهلوی شاهنشاه ایران' (Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi, Shahanshah of Iran) arcs around the upper periphery. Below the numeral, the denomination 'ریال' is inscribed in Persian script. The date appears in Persian numerals within the lower wreath area. The overall design is simple and bold, rendered in a restrained official style characteristic of mid-twentieth century Iranian coinage. |
