| Obverse description | Central field entirely occupied by a bold Arabic legend in Nastaliq script, arranged in multiple registers across the flan. The inscription proclaims the royal title of Fat'h Ali Shah under his pre-accession name 'Baba Khan', reading 'Al-Mulk Lillah Al-Sultan Baba Khan' (The kingdom belongs to God; Al-Sultan Baba Khan). The calligraphy is rendered in high relief with characteristic Qajar decorative flourishes, and the coin exhibits the irregular, slightly lobate outline typical of hammered coinage of this period. |
