| Obverse description | Central field dominated by bold, interlaced Nasta'liq calligraphy forming the mint and sovereignty legend, arranged within a lobed cartouche framed by floral and vegetal ornaments. The inscription reads 'Al-Izza lillah / Zarb Rikab' (Glory belongs to God / struck at Rikab), the letters deeply struck with characteristic Qajar calligraphic flourishes. The entire design is enclosed within a prominent inner beaded border, beyond which the plain coin field extends to the smooth edge. |

The calligraphic legends are deeply struck and characteristic of early Qajar hammered coinage. The design is encircled by a circular inner legend frame and enclosed within a continuous beaded border that runs to the plain edge. |
