| Obverse description | Crowned double-headed imperial eagle displayed in the field, with wings spread and each head facing outward, surmounted by a single imperial crown. The breast of the eagle bears an escutcheon depicting the lion arms of Jever. The circular Latin legend SUB·UMBRA·ALARUM·TUARUM· (meaning 'Under the shadow of Thy wings') runs along the outer periphery, separated from the milled border by a narrow rim. |
