| Obverse description | Plain buff paper ground with a wave-pattern underprint throughout. A rectangular floral border composed of small daisy-like rosettes frames the entire face, with numeral '1' in the left and right margins. The issuing authority 'REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH' is set in bold capitals at the top, with the denomination 'EINE REICHSMARK' in large display type at centre, all printed in green. A two-line counterfeiting warning appears at the foot of the central panel, flanked by vertical 'REICHS-MARK' legends. |

The reverse carries a block of nine lines of German text in two paragraphs, setting out the legal validity period and conditions for deposit of the note under the Schillinggesetz, with the final line rendered in bold type for emphasis. |
