Obverse description Central device depicts the Argentine National Coat of Arms rendered without azure tincture and featuring two points at the base of the escutcheon. A Phrygian liberty cap in flight faces to the right, positioned above the shield. The Arms are presented in a simplified provincial style characteristic of Córdoba's coinage of the period. The peripheral legend reads PROVINCIA DE CORDOVA in Latin characters encircling the central device.

Reverse description A radiant sun with a human face occupies the central field, rendered with alternating straight and wavy rays emanating from a rounded, facially detailed solar disk. The facial features are stylized in the manner typical of Argentine provincial coinage of the 1840s. The circumferential legend CONFEDERADA J.P.P. arcs around the upper and lower portions of the field, with the mintmaster's initials J.P.P. identifying the assayer responsible for this issue.
