Reverse description Central motif consisting of a large crowned Gothic monogram composed of interlaced letters, surrounded by radiating lines extending toward the rim, evoking a sunburst or cross-like arrangement. Flanking the central device are the letters of the monarchs' initials and additional decorative elements. A partial Latin legend encircles the design along the toothed border, with the characteristic irregular flan and slightly uneven strike typical of mid-sixteenth-century Castilian hammered silver coinage.
