Reverse description Central field displays the bold monogram 'M' for Morelos at the top, flanked by dots, beneath which the denomination '1R' (1 Real) is inscribed with flanking dots, and the date 1813 appears below in the lower field. The entire design is encircled by a wreath of laurel or olive branches, rendered in a crude but vigorous style consistent with wartime emergency coinage. The border features a toothed rim. The overall composition reflects the improvised but symbolically deliberate nature of the Oaxacan insurgent mint.
