| Obverse description | Armored draped bust of King Fernando VII facing right, rendered in the style of the colonial Spanish American portrait coinage. The king is depicted with a laurel wreath, wearing a cuirass with decorative drapery over the shoulder. A circular legend surrounds the effigy, reading FERDIN·VII·DEI·GRATIA followed by the date. The field is slightly irregular, characteristic of the Zacatecas Mint's wartime royalist coinage production. |
