Reverse description A bold floriated cross potent occupies the central field, quartered by the arms of Castile and León, with a stylized tressure or orle of castles and lions in the angles, consistent with standard Spanish colonial cob coinage of the period. The reverse legend, partially visible due to the irregular cob flan, reads the king's territorial title. The strike is characteristic of hammered macuquina production, exhibiting an uneven and roughly polygonal planchet with areas of weak or absent impression at the margins.
