Obverse description Crowned facing bust of Carlos II within a beaded inner circle, the king depicted in a highly stylised, crude hammered manner characteristic of Valencian coinage of the period. The royal effigy is shown frontally with the crown prominently rendered above, flanked by flowing hair. The denomination numeral 18 appears within the legend. The surrounding Latin legend reads + CAROLVS · II · DEI · GRACIA 18, partially visible on the irregular flan.
