Obverse description Irregular quarter-segment cut from a Bolivian 4 Soles coin, bearing the Paraguayan countermark 'Co' (abbreviation for Corrientes or gobierno counter-authorization) applied in an incuse or relief punch to the field. The underlying host coin design is partially visible, showing fragmentary elements of the Bolivian sun and mountain motif, with crenulated edges along the cut margins consistent with mechanical shearing. The countermark authenticates and revalues the piece for circulation as 1 Real within the Paraguayan monetary system.
