Reverse description Crowned Spanish royal arms at center, featuring the quartered shield with castles and lions and a central escutcheon, flanked on either side by the Pillars of Hercules with banners. The crowned shield is rendered in fine detail within a beaded border. The circular legend is divided around the design, with the mint mark (So), assayer initials (DA), and denomination (1R) appearing to the left, and PLUS VLTRA on the banners. The outer legend reads HISPAN ET IND REX.
