Obverse description The cantonal arms of Schwyz displayed on an ornate oval shield, vertically striated, set within a decorative rococo-style cartouche surmounted by a crown. The shield and cartouche are flanked on either side by olive or laurel branches, the sprigs meeting at the base. The coin's border is formed by a continuous ring of beading.

Reverse description The numeral '1' appears at the top center above the denomination 'RAPEN' in bold capital letters, with the date '1812' beneath, all arranged within an elaborate scrollwork cartouche featuring foliate and acanthus-style flourishes radiating from the top and bottom.
