| Obverse description | The post-1994 South African Coat of Arms is depicted centrally in the field, featuring a shield charged with a Khoisan rock art motif of human figures, surmounted by a secretary bird with outstretched wings and a rising sun above. Two symmetrical ears of wheat flank the shield, and a pair of crossed elephant tusks appear below it. The motto legend 'IKE E: XARRA IKE' in the Khoisan !Ke eː ǀXarra ǁKe language is inscribed on a ribbon at the base of the arms.
