| Obverse description | Crudely hammered silver flan bearing a three-line Arabic Kufic inscription within a plain inner border. The legend reads the Shahada in three lines across the field: 'La ilaha illa / Allah Muhammad / Rasul Allah' (There is no god but God, Muhammad is the Messenger of God). The script is bold and raised, typical of Andalusian taifa-period quirats, with the letters rendered in a compressed, angular style filling the available field. |
