| Obverse description | Entirely epigraphic design consisting of multiple lines of Kufic-style Arabic script filling the field, arranged in horizontal registers across the flan. The legends cite religious formulae and the name of the issuing authority. A dotted border encircles the inscription, characteristic of Almoravid and contemporaneous Iberian-Maghrebi silver coinage. The striking is irregular, typical of hand-hammered quirat production, with some weakness at the margins due to the small flan size. |
