| Obverse description | The Guatemalan national coat of arms occupies the central field, featuring a resplendent quetzal bird perched atop a scroll inscribed with the independence date legend, flanked by two crossed rifles and two crossed swords, and framed by laurel branches on either side. The circular legend REPUBLICA DE GUATEMALA runs along the upper periphery, separated from the inner design by a beaded border. The date of issue appears in the lower exergue area below the coat of arms, also within the beaded border. |
