Obverse description Green intaglio print on multicolor guilloche underprint; a vignette of the Palace of the Captains General occupies the left portion of the note. Red serial numbers appear on the face, with the denomination and bank title inscribed within decorative borderwork.

Reverse description Entirely engraved in green intaglio, the reverse is dominated by a central vignette of Lake Atitlán with a volcanic peak rising above the water and a colonial church tower in the foreground, flanked on each side by large numeral-1 counters set within ornate guilloche medallions. Pre-Columbian mask motifs appear at the base of the central frame, and the printer's imprint reads 'AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY.' along the bottom margin.
