| Obverse description | Central field dominated by the papal coat of arms, depicting a lyre-shaped heraldic shield flanked by ornate foliate scrollwork. The crossed keys of Saint Peter and the papal tiara are displayed above the shield, serving as the traditional symbols of pontifical authority. The design is rendered in low relief on a plain field with no peripheral legend, consistent with small copper coinage of the Papal States during the pontificate of Benedict XIV. |

| Reverse description | The denomination inscription is displayed in three lines across the central field, reading VN / QVATTR / INO, representing the Italian form of 'Un Quattrino' (one quattrino). The lettering is set within a decorative frame of baroque scrollwork volutes at the left and right, with a plain inner border. The outer border features a continuous beaded ring encircling the entire reverse design. The overall composition is characteristic of the small copper issues struck at the Ravenna Mint for local circulation under the Papal States. |
