| Obverse description | A plain Latin cross occupies the central field, enclosed within a beaded or linear inner circle. The surrounding legend reads in Latin capitals, separated by pellets, identifying the Doge Francesco Foscari as issuing authority. The hammered fabric produces a characteristically irregular flan with uneven relief typical of Venetian billon coinage of the mid-15th century. |

| Reverse description | The Lion of Saint Mark is depicted rampant to the left, holding an upraised sword in its forepaw, a bold and martial heraldic device emblematic of Venetian sovereignty. The figure is rendered in a stylized, low-relief manner consistent with the small module and hammered production of Venetian quattrini. A surrounding circular legend in Latin capitals invokes Saint Mark as patron of Venice, separated by pellets. |
