| Obverse description | Central field displays the papal coat of arms of Clement X (Emilio Altieri), featuring a shield charged with fleurs-de-lis and floral motifs, surmounted by the papal tiara and crossed keys, rendered in a bold, somewhat crude hammered style characteristic of provincial Papal States coinage. The arms are encircled by a beaded inner border, with the circular Latin legend reading CLEM · X · PONT · distributed around the periphery of the field. |

| Additional information |
Clement X declared the Holy Year of 1675 — his only Jubilee — despite being nearly eighty years old and in failing health, with much of the actual governance handled by his Secretary of State, Cardinal Paluzzo Paluzzi Altieri degli Albertoni. The "closed door" designation distinguishes this issue from its companion piece, referring to the ceremonial bronze Holy Door of St. Peter's prior to its formal opening on Christmas Eve 1674. Gubbio, a minor papal mint by this period, produced these small copper issues as part of the broader commemorative coinage authorized across the Papal States for the occasion.
