Obverse description Central field displays the pontifical arms of Clement VII (Medici), featuring the characteristic shield charged with six pellets arranged in the Medici family pattern, surmounted by the papal tiara and flanked by the crossed keys of Saint Peter. The heraldic composition is rendered in the crude, bold style typical of early sixteenth-century hammered copper coinage. The circular Latin legend runs along the periphery, partially visible on this well-worn example.

Reverse description Full-length frontal figure of Saint Peter standing erect in the field, depicted in episcopal vestments and holding the keys of Heaven, rendered in the schematic, linear style characteristic of hammered Papal copper coinage of the early sixteenth century. The saint's figure occupies the central field with arms extended, keys visible in hand. The surrounding circular Latin legend identifies the apostle and runs along the coin's periphery, partially legible on this worn specimen.
