| Obverse description | Central field depicts the papal coat of arms — a vertically striped oval shield surmounted by the papal tiara and flanked by the crossed keys of Saint Peter, rendered in a bold, somewhat rustic hammered style characteristic of provincial Papal States coinage. The shield occupies the majority of the flan, with the tiara prominently positioned at the apex. No peripheral legend is present on this face. The overall composition is typical of Benedict XIV's minor copper issues struck at Ravenna. |

| Reverse description | Standing figure of Saint Apollinaris, patron of Ravenna, depicted frontally in episcopal vestments with arms raised in an orant posture, consistent with the Early Christian iconographic tradition. A double cross appears above the figure in the upper field. The Latin legend S•A• P•RAV• is distributed around the periphery, abbreviated for Sanctus Apollinaris Patronus Ravennae. The coin border on this side displays a beaded or milled inner circle typical of the Ravenna mint's copper issues of the mid-eighteenth century. |
